Okay, so before i start making posts about tips & tricks and reviews about skincare there is a step you need to do first (:
In order to know what products you need to be looking for, you first must know what your skin type is. If you already know then fabulous! You can go check out my other posts (:
There are:
- Normal
- Dry
- Oily
- Combo
- Sensitive
Normal: Skin is not too dry or oily. Has no or few imperfections with barely visible pores. (LUCKY!)
Dry: Shows flakes or dead skin. Almost invisible pores. Dull or rough complexion. May have red patches.
Oily: Large pores. Blackheads, pimples/blemishes with a shiny, thick complexion.
Combo: A combo of maybe 2 or all of the above skin types. Usually oily in the T-Zone and normal to dry everywhere else.
Sensitive: Redness, itching, dryness and burning of the skin.
In order to determine what your skin type is:
[NOTE: This is best done in the morning or midday when there are lots of natural light coming through. This gives a clearer…view? sight? I can’t think of a word but you get me right? :P]
1. Go wash your face and pat dry gently with a clean towel. If you have a cleanser already then go ahead & use it, if you don’t then just simply wash it with lukewarm water. Do not moisturize or put anything on your face after washing!
Your face needs to be makeup free and clean.
2. Now wait an hour. So just act normally & do whatever you want. Try not to touch your face! The reason for waiting an hour is because after washing your face (which have cleaned away all the oils and dirt) your skin will go back to it’s normal/natural state in the space of an hour.
3. After an hour look into a mirror. Observe & pay attention to your T-Zone (forehead & nose). Your T-Zone is one of the key areas that determine your skin type. Look back at the skin types above & see which one you are. Dab your face with tissue if it helps you to see if you have oily skin. The oil will transfer to the tissue, or place a clean white plain paper onto the nose (gently) & see if there are any oils on it. Oily skin is associated with large pores so you might be able to see the outline of them if you have oily skin or combo.

Now that you know, you can start looking for products to try and keep your skin healthy, less prone to acne and to banish those annoying acne pimples.
I hope this helped ^^
