Skincare Tips & Tricks #8 - Tea Tree Oil

Tea Tree Oil is a miracle worker. It has many many different uses that go beyond skin and haircare, but for now i'll be talking talking about how you can use tea tree oil on your skin.

Tea Tree Oil is a very affordable and can easily be found in your local pharmacy and drugstore.

-------------

Acne & Dry Skin:
This is something that i've been doing recently, and it's putting 1-2 drops of TTO in my daily cleanser when i wash my face. This helps with acne as well as dry skin.
You can also just dab a bit of TTO on pimples to keep them from fully forming or to reduce the size.

Chapped/Dry Lips:
You can rub a drop of TTO onto your lips and then apply your usual lip-balm on top, or the other way around. Make sure you fully rub them together with your lips.

---------------------

Tea Tree Oil has many other uses and it's a very handy oil to have, but you have to be careful when using it too.

I know the picture is a bit blurry so i typed up what was written below:

"Warning note: Harmful to health when swallowed. Can cause skin irritations if used undiluted. Can damage lungs if swallowed. Do not induce vomiting after swallowing. Call a doctor immediately and show him/her the packaging or label. Skin irritating or allergic reactions can possibly occur, in particular with sensitive skin. Discontinue use in such cases."

"Never put Tea Tree Oil near to, or into your eyes. Never apply undiluted to the mucous membranes. Unsuitable for newborn babies or small children."

So, as long as you don't swallow it or put it into your eyes, you'll be fine. But be careful when washing your face. Don't scrub too close to the eyes.

I hope this helps, i have sensitive skin too but it hasn't irritated my skin yet. This may be different for others so please be wary of that.
